Wings and Wheels 2025

Wings & Wheels made a highly anticipated return to the Winchester Regional Airport on Saturday, October 18th drawing thousands of visitors for a full day of aviation, automobiles, and community fun.
Attendees enjoyed up-close views of both historic and modern aircraft, including the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation’s C-54 Spirit of Freedom and the Japanese Fuji LM-1. A colorful lineup of cars turned heads, while the Touch-a-Truck area provided hands-on fun for children and families alike.
Visitors explored booths from local businesses and craft vendors, sampled delicious offerings from popular food trucks, and relaxed to live entertainment throughout the day. A special highlight for many was the unforgettable opportunity to take a ride aboard a WWII Warbird—an experience that offered a rare and thrilling glimpse into aviation history.
Throughout the event, the sense of community was unmistakable. Families wandered the tarmac together, car enthusiasts swapped stories beside gleaming engines, and aviation fans of all ages marveled at the impressive aircraft displays.
“We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day to bring back Wings & Wheels,” said Cynthia Schneider, CEO of the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber. “This event truly showcases the best of our community—bringing together families, local businesses, and aviation enthusiasts for a day of fun, connection, and celebration.” Nick Sabo, Executive Director of Winchester Regional Airport, added, “It was wonderful to see families, car lovers, and aviation fans exploring the airport, learning, and enjoying a day together. Wings & Wheels reflects the sense of community that makes Winchester such a special place.”
Building on the success of the 2019 event—which was paused due to the pandemic and the construction of the airport’s new terminal—the 2025 Wings & Wheels made a joyful return, delighting attendees and bringing the community together once again. The Top of Virginia Regional Chamber and Winchester Regional Airport extend their gratitude to the many sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and attendees who made this year’s event possible.
