Leveraging Corporate Partnerships: A Banker’s Perspective for Nonprofits
Christina Burke Cudney is currently the Community Reinvestment Officer at United Bank, where she holds primary responsibility for executing the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) strategy throughout the entirety of United Bank’s multi-state footprint. United Bank has the best possible CRA rating – an overall Outstanding on the Investment, Service, and Lending categories – a feat accomplished by fewer than 7% of banks in the country.
Cudney came to United Bank with a background in community development and an interest in leveraging the role of the banking sector to build vibrant communities and to support nonprofits in better carrying out their missions. In her current role, she assists lines of business in developing strategies for lending, investment, employee volunteerism, philanthropy, and communications that help meet the banking needs of historically underserved geographies and populations. United Bank’s employee volunteer program was awarded the 2018 Community Commitment Award by the American Bankers Association Foundation, recognizing it as top in the nation.
