Grief When You Can't Come Together for a Memorial Service
Coming together in memory of a loved one and in support of each other is an important part of healing from grief. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced change and/or delay which, for many, adds or at least prolongs the process of healing. The purpose of this group is to provide opportunity to be with others also dealing with loss during this time of social distancing. Using either a computer or smartphone and the Zoom application, we will be able to see one another and relate to each other as we share our story. Group facilitators desire to hear how you are doing and together explore meaningful things we can do now, and things we can plan for in the future to honor your loved one. Group Type: Workshop Session Age Group: Adults Counselor: Bob Uhrig, MA; ruhrig@capitalcaring.org and Shannon Collier, MA, MS; scollier@capitalcaring.org, 202-320-8268. LIMITED TO 12 PARTICIPANTS.
