The Arising Leadership Program (ALP) is a catalyst for the development of a dynamic workforce in the Top of Virginia region. This opportunity cultivates leaders in the arising generation that radiate confidence through awareness and experiential learning.
ALP Goals:
- Cultivate leadership and communication skills
- Explore the diverse facets of the Top of Virginia region’s career opportunities in business, government, and the non-profit sectors
- Instill and nurture a sense of civic and social responsibility
- Provide participants with a specific career pathway shadow session.
SCHEDULE
6/3: Orientation (7:00 - 8:00 p.m.)
6/10: Leadership / Communication
6/11: Business / Industry
6/13: Community Culture/Agriculture
6/17: Government/Public Safety
6/18: Health Care/ Non-Profits
6/20: Career Exploration/Capstone Project followed by Graduation Dinner w/ Capstone Presentations at 5:30 p.m.
*All sessions are full day sessions. Times may vary, but please plan to be available from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Locations to be advised.
