Share your ideas and flex your civics knowledge in the National Civics Bee®.
About the National Civics Bee®
The Top of Virginia Regional Chamber is proud to partner with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to host the National Civics Bee®, a nonpartisan competition designed to inspire the next generation of civic leaders.
This exciting competition encourages middle school students to deepen their understanding of civics, become more engaged in their communities, and propose solutions to real-world challenges.
Participating 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students will have the opportunity to showcase their civic knowledge, share their ideas, and compete for recognition and cash prizes. Top finalists will have the opportunity to advance through the competition, with the chance to compete at the National Civics Bee Championship in Fall 2027.
Through this partnership, the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber is helping empower young people to become informed, engaged citizens and future leaders in our communities.
WHY CIVICS?
The Top of Virginia Regional Chamber is proud to participate in the National Civics Bee® because we believe informed and engaged citizens are essential to building strong communities, a thriving economy, and a skilled workforce. Our region’s continued growth and prosperity depend on the strength of all three.
Through the National Civics Bee, we are committed to promoting civic knowledge, encouraging the next generation of leaders, and celebrating civic pride throughout Virginia and the Top of Virginia region.
