NextEra Energy has updated its transmission line map in advance of its forthcoming application to construct the Mid-Atlantic Resiliency Link, a major regional infrastructure project designed to enhance grid stability and energy reliability across the Mid-Atlantic. As currently proposed, the project includes a five-mile segment that will traverse Frederick County, beginning at the West Virginia state line and extending into Gore, Virginia. The updated map provides greater clarity on the project’s anticipated routing and will serve as an important reference point for local stakeholders, landowners, and public officials as the application process moves forward.
The Mid-Atlantic Resiliency Link is intended to strengthen the region’s energy network, increase system resiliency, and support long-term economic growth by ensuring reliable access to power. NextEra Energy has made updated information on the transmission line project publicly available through its website, offering resources for community members to stay informed and engaged throughout the regulatory and permitting process. These updates mark an important step in advancing the project and provide an opportunity for stakeholders to better understand its scope and potential benefits.
