Criteria
Your company must be a Chamber member in good standing. If you are not a Chamber member, please sign up here.
A faith-based Chamber community group blends the mission of a Chamber of Commerce—business networking, professional growth, and community impact—with shared spiritual values. It’s not a Bible study or a church group, but a space where faith and business mutually strengthen each other.
Purpose of a Faith-Based Chamber Group
- Provide a values-aligned space for business owners and professionals who want to incorporate faith into leadership.
- Foster deeper relationships built on trust, integrity, service, and compassion.
- Offer support, encouragement, and prayer for members navigating professional or personal challenges.
- Engage in service projects that reflect shared beliefs and bless the community.
Core Elements - Regular Meetings (Monthly 4th Thursday of the month)
A typical meeting might include:
- A warm welcome/coffee networking time – bring your lunch if you choose to.
- A short devotional or inspirational message
- A business spotlight (one member shares their story)
- Round-table discussion (topic like “Leading with Integrity,” “Faith During Business Challenges,” etc.)
- Prayer requests or encouragement circle (optional and voluntary)
- Upcoming events, collaborations, or community needs
Shared Values
Most groups anchor around principles such as:
- Integrity in business
- Servant leadership
- Generosity
- Compassion
- Encouragement and accountability
- These values help the group stay unified while welcoming people from different denominations.
Community Outreach
This faith-based Chamber group may participate in:
- Charity drives (food pantries, shelters, local ministries)
- Volunteer projects
- Sponsoring families in need
- Supporting faith-aligned nonprofits and local missions
These activities give the group a visible and positive presence.
Business Networking
Even with a spiritual foundation, it still operates like a Chamber group:
- Member introductions
- Connect-and-collaborate moments
- Referral sharing
- Celebrating wins—business or personal
- Opportunities for members to support each other’s ventures
Vibe
Members often describe these groups as:
- Warm
- Encouraging
- Purpose-driven
- Uplifting
- A “safe place” to share struggles and victories
Relationships tend to run deeper than in typical business-only networking groups.
Membership Requirements and Expectations:
- You must be a member in good standing with the Chamber. Membership in Chamber Networking Groups is an exclusive benefit to Top of Virginia Regional Chamber.
- Non-Chamber members who are interested in a Chamber Networking Group (CNG) may be invited to attend one meeting, for one CNG group, in any six-month period.
