The Public Policy Committee follows a variety of topics from local, state and federal governments. Here is one of the items of note we’re following:
With the Virginia General Assembly's crossover deadline passing earlier this week we are happy to report that the bill to repeal Virginia's Right-to-Work statute, Senate Bill 32, is dead after not making it out of the Senate. This is a significant victory for Virginia workers, businesses, and our state's economic competitiveness, and it would not have been possible without you!
Thank You for Taking Action.
Whether you used our advocacy tool to contact your legislators, shared the Keep Virginia Working website with your network, or helped spread our message in your community, your efforts made a real difference. Our elected officials heard from Virginians across the commonwealth who understand the importance of protecting worker choice and keeping Virginia's business climate strong, and that matters.
Round 1 Is Over. The Fight Isn't.
Make no mistake: the push to repeal Virginia's Right-to-Work law is not going away, and neither are we. Keep Virginia Working will continue to grow our coalition, amplify our message, and ensure that legislators know where Virginians stand on this issue. We are committed to protecting the Right-to-Work statute for the long haul, and we are glad to have your support in this effort.
Stay tuned for updates as we continue our work, and please keep sharing our message with your friends, colleagues, and communities. Help us grow this coalition by encouraging others to sign up at KeepVirginiaWorking.com to stay informed and get involved. The strength of this campaign is the people behind it, people like you!
Thank you again for your support of Keep Virginia Working.
