About Us

Nova Environmental Solutions is an Environmental Consulting and Industrial Hygiene firm that specializes in mold testing and inspections, asbestos inspections/testing, management planning, asbestos project monitoring and clearance sampling, lead paint inspections and risk assessments, occupational health and safety, indoor air quality assessments, drinking water quality, and Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments.

As independent environmental professionals, we offer our unbiased expertise and experience for commercial, industrial, healthcare, property managers, facilities managers, government, and residential clients.

NoVA Environmental Solutions was founded by Paul Burger in 2016. Paul grew up in Buffalo, NY where he started working in the industrial hygiene field in 1994. Paul moved to Winchester, VA in 2009 and worked as Director of Mold/IAQ Services, Industrial Hygienist, Asbestos Inspector, and Asbestos Project Monitor before opening NoVA Environmental Solutions in 2016. In March of 2023, NoVA Environmental Solutions acquired Geller Environmental Labs in Fairfax, VA, the company that Paul Burger began working for in 2009.
