Hob Nob in the Valley 2019
Event Sponsors
The Hob Nob in the Valley is celebrating 20 years of honoring the American electoral process and educating the public about political parties and candidates. Plan to attend the premiere public policy event and political rally in the northern Shenandoah Valley!
All candidates who will appear on the November general election ballot have been invited to attend. You'll have the opportunity to meet those running for the offices of Virginia Senate and House of Delegates as well as Winchester Clerk of Court, Frederick County Sheriff, Frederick County School Board, and Frederick County Board of Supervisors among other local offices.
The event is an all-American political rally that celebrates the electoral process in a fun, informal, multi-partisan setting. It is meant to educate the general public about the candidates that will appear on the November ballot, and to encourage them to participate in the process. You'll enjoy a barbeque dinner, straw poll voting, candidate speeches, and meeting and mingling with local business leaders, elected officials, candidates and other voters.
This year we are changing things up. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. We'll start the evening off with the formal program and candidate speeches at 5:30 prior to dinner and voting. After you've heard from the candidates, from 6:30 to 7:30 you'll have an opportunity to cast your vote and enjoy dinner. At 7:45 the results of the straw poll will be announced.
