Please join us for a special evening to celebrate the Royal Game of Chess with our growing community of chess players, parents, and kids!

Come early to play chess in the lobby. 

At 7:00 pm we will watch the acclaimed chess film "The Brooklyn Castle" on the big-screen, courtesy of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema!

"The Brooklyn Castle" is the story of one inner-city chess team's quest to become US national champions.

Meet local chess players, organizers, and coaches from the Winchester, Stephens City, West Virginia and beyond.

Proceeds and donations will benefit 2018 Shenandoah Valley Chess tournaments, youth programs, and special events.

Shenandoah Valley Chess Club is a not-for-profit community organization dedicated to teaching and promoting the game of chess for all in the Shenandoah Valley region. 

Chess programs are partnered with Handley Regional Library System and affiliated with United States and Virginia Chess Federations.
