Berryville Christmas Tree Lighting
Berryville Christmas Tree Lighting Berryville Main Street Association is proud to present the annual Christmas tree lighting in historic downtown Berryville on Friday, December 6th at 6PM in Rose Hill Park. This year’s family-friendly celebration will feature music by the Clarke County Community Band and local Berryville children’s choirs. Those in attendance will be treated to hot chocolate and candy canes, as well as candles so that they can sing along to the sounds of the holidays by candlelight. Winners of the popular Parking Meter Contest will also be announced before Berryville Mayor Pat Dickinson lights the tree to officially welcome in the holidays. After the ceremony, visitors are encouraged to visit the Barns of Rose Hill as the Clarke County Community Band will be performing more holiday music starting at 7 p.m. “The Christmas tree lighting is such a unique event that really brings the town together,” says Elizabeth Mock, owner of Modern Mercantile which is located on Main Street. “The singing, the music, the atmosphere, it all really gets you into the holiday spirit with that small town sense of community and togetherness.” Free street parking is available on Main Street where the meters are decorated, or in the lot adjoining Rose Hill Park accessed from South Church Street. The Christmas Tree Lighting is a free event presented by Berryville Main Street and sponsored by Berryville Family Chiropractic, Blossman Gas & FNB Bank.
