Local Business Receives Sales Achievement Award:  TeamLogic IT in Leesburg-Winchester VA owned by Ken and Pam Blackwell were honored with the Rookie of the Year award from TeamLogic IT, Inc.  This award recognizes a new franchisee for outstanding sales achievement in its first full year of operation and is one of only six awards given each year in the TeamLogic IT nework of over one hundred fifty regional offices.  Expressing appreciation for the award, Ken said, "We are grateful for geing recognized for this achievement especially given the record number of outstanding franchises opened in the past year.  It is a testament to the hard work of a great team and the confidence that we have developed in a diverse customer base across Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley."  (Taken from a news release dated October 17, 2018.)

Sheriff:  Gun thefts from unlocked vehicles continuing:  Twelve pistols have been stolen from unlocked cars in Frederick County since January 12th.  Sheriff Lenny Millholland for the second time this month asks drivers to not leave their guns in their cars and to lock their vehicles.  Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 540-662-6168 or Winchester/Frederick/Clarke Crime Solvers at 540-665-8477.  Information leading to arrists could result in a $1,000 reward.  (Taken from The Winchester Star article on Thursday, October 18, 2018.)
