Each year, the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber relies on the energies and expertise of member-partners filling hundreds of volunteer positions to help shape a prosperous future for all.
Participation on a Chamber Action Team and Roundtable and/or Task Force is a partnership privilege. Please let us know if you are interested in serving on a committee or want information about any of our valuable programs.
Listed below are the committees/groups you can become involved in as a member of the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber.
Government Affairs Action Team - establishes Chamber policies on pro-business, pro-Top of Virginia issues that go before governmental bodies. The following Task Forces studies issues and recommends policy to the Board of Directors in the areas of environment, human resources, local government, taxation, and transportation.
Ambassadors Club – Emphasize personal contact with Chamber member-partners and encourage participation in Chamber events; emphasizing the importance of membership retention. Develop strategies and techniques that build Chamber membership. Also acts as Chamber representatives at partner special events such as grand openings, ribbon cuttings and open houses.
Non-profit Roundtable – Quarterly meetings to discuss common concerns and issues facing today’s non-profit professional. Participants also assist in the planning the All American Community Recognition Luncheon held annually.
Community Leadership Program Alumni (CLP alumni only) – Assist in the development of the monthly curriculum for the Chamber’s CLP program. CLP foster the leadership potential in the community for purposes of ensuring the Top of Virginia’s continued economic growth, development and overall prosperity.
Young Professionals Group (YPG) is a meaningful networking organization of dedicated, talented young professionals within the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber ranging in age from 21-40. The YPG launched in July 2006: The purpose of YPG is to enrich our community by uniting and developing our young professionals from a wide cross-section of careers and industries.We invite you to help build this program by joining us. There will be many ways to participate and contribute.
