TOP OF VIRGINIA REGIONAL EMPLOYMENT

The Counties of Clarke and Frederick and the City of Winchester offers a broad base of employment opportunities. We are pleased to provide several local links to resources to get you started on finding that new position.

The Virginia Employment Commission's ALEX (Automated Labor Exchange) system. It is possible to perform a self-directed job search in specific Virginia cities and counties, or a national job search by state. ALEX is also available in VEC Field Offices across Virginia.

For employment opportunities in the Shenandoah Valley go to:
http://www.alex.vec.virginia.gov/local1.cfm?areaid=V#topimage

Serving businesses in the region, Lord Fairfax Community College offers a free employment web site that allows organizations to post their jobs on line, as well as review the résumés of job seekers and to review employment opportunities.

Log on to http://www.collegecentral.com/lfcc, register your business, post your job announcements, review résumés of potential applicants and to review local job opportunities.

If you as a employer, see a résumé that interests you, you may contact the person directly to schedule an interview.

The local classified sections of our three newspapers - the Winchester Star, the Northern Virginia Daily, and the Clarke Times Courier at 540-955-1111.

Additional employment sources can be found in the Chamber’s Regional Business Directory.
